Lobos of the Year 2014-2015

Paraprofessional of the Year

Lesley Malmer

From Chief Financial Officer, Grant Anderson:

Lesley Malmer genuinely cares about the employees of LEISD.  She is always willing to help us navigate the complicated world of benefits.  Lesley is a team player and supports her colleagues in everything our department does.  She proactively ensured that our LEISD Board of Trustees recognized the challenges presented by our benefits and continues to take a leadership role in finding improvements. While our department is made up of all Lobo Team Members of the Year, Lesley Malmer is the Business Services 2015 Lobo Team Member of the Year.

Child Nutrition Lobo Leader of the Year

Laura Cuellar

From Child Nutrition Director, Carolyn Tarver: (paraphrased)

Laura is always willing to go the extra mile. She elevates the staff around her; she doesn’t know the meaning of the word “can’t” and truly leads by example EVERYDAY. No matter how busy or involved Laura is with her own task at hand, she takes the time to greet the students and ensure that she is a positive influence on their day.  Laura is a great cook, she puts the love into her food that our students can honestly taste and feel. If you could look up the words commitment and dedication in the dictionary, you would see Laura’s picture. Laura Cuellar is the Child Nutrition 2015 Lobo Team Member of the Year.
