Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Learning
Penny Tramel, Ed.D.
Dr. Penny Tramel serves the students of Little Elm ISD as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Learning. Prior to coming to Little Elm, Dr. Tramel served in College Station ISD as the Chief Academic Officer, and in Coppell ISD as the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, a campus principal, an assistant principal, and as an educator.
Dr. Tramel is a progressive and visionary leader. In her administrative career, she transformed a traditional school and curriculum into a top rated STEM school, has worked with architects in designing new schools aligned to a specialized curriculum, has worked closely with Human Resources in establishing criteria for hiring the best candidates and building their capacity as future leaders in the district, and has improved student performance in the districts she has served.
Degrees include a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin University, a masters in Curriculum and Instruction, a Plus 30 in Mid-Management, and a K-12 Reading Specialist Certification from Centenary College, and a bachelor's degree from Northwestern State University in Louisiana
