Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Jamey Allen will serve as the next Principal for Prestwick Elementary. Allen is coming to Little Elm ISD from Plano ISD where she served the last four years as the Principal for the International Baccalaureate World School at Huffman Elementary.
She has 25 years of educational experience and started her career in Illinois teaching second through sixth grades. She then landed a job at Plano ISD as a fourth-grade teacher and was promoted to instructional specialist. She also served as an assistant principal at various campuses and seven years as a principal at Skaggs Elementary, all located in Plano ISD.
Some of her career highlights include Awarded School Leadership Innovation Award, improved campus-wide accountability rating, facilitated IB certification, opened Plano ISD first choice elementary school, and member of the N2 Learning Texas Principal’s Institute.
“I am thrilled Ms. Allen has considered Little Elm ISD as the next place to plant her professional roots," said Daniel Gallagher, superintendent for Little Elm ISD. "Ms. Allen is a proven leader in the educational world, and I know she is going to do great things working with our teachers and students of Prestwick Elementary.”
