New Executive Director for Special Populations Announced
Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Lesa Shocklee will serve as the next Executive Director for Special Populations.
Shocklee was previously serving in the same capacity at Mansfield ISD for the last three years and a director for two years prior to her executive role. She has served as a leader in Special Populations for 24 years in places like Keller ISD, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD, and Northwest ISD.
Shocklee is experienced with Response to Intervention, 504, Dyslexia, Bilingual English Language, and Special Education. She led the development and implementation of a strategic plan to strengthen the services students receive. “Lesa Shocklee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Little Elm ISD as the Executive Director for Special Populations Services. I am excited to welcome her here because she believes fully in our mission, vision, and exemplifies our values,” said Daniel Gallagher, superintendent. “Her expertise is second to none and most importantly she brings a student-centered focus that will benefit our students here in Little Elm ISD. I am excited to welcome Ms. Shocklee to this role because of her commitment to helping our students realize their full potential.”
Shocklee has her Diagnostician Certification from Texas Woman’s University, received her Master of Arts from Santa Clara University in California, and her Bachelor of Arts in psychology at San Jose State University.
