During the regular meeting on Monday, June 20, the Board of Trustees approved the 2022-2023 Operating Budget that included a raise for employees.

This budget includes an increase to the new-hire-teacher pay scale that will increase at each step based on experience. New teachers with zero experience can earn a salary of $57,655.

Raises will be given for the 2022-2023 school year to any employee who began their employment prior to July 1, 2022. This would be equivalent to a 4% increase of the employee's base salary from the 2021-2022 school year.

The District stated in an email to all employees that "they appreciate the Trustees for approving the budget and compensation plan that recognizes the significant work and dedication of our LEISD staff."
