Comprehensive Safety Plan Includes Drug-Sniffing Dogs at LEISD Campuses

September 21, 2022

Most parents understand that our teens are faced with the pressures of drugs and alcohol. Our schools are no place for those types of pressures. Little Elm ISD wants to ensure our students have the safest environment so they can focus on their learning.

The District has contracted with Interquest Detection Canines to have drug-sniffing dogs visit our middle and high school campuses throughout the year. These dogs are highly trained and skilled at detecting illegal drugs and contraband.

“The safety of students is our priority and we’re doing this as a proactive measure to ensure our campuses are drug-free. This is only one aspect of our comprehensive safety and security plan for Little Elm ISD,” said Daniel Gallagher, superintendent.
