Little Elm ISD Announces Director for Curriculum & Learning

Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Doug Sevier in his new role as Director for Curriculum and Learning with the District. He has spent the last two years as Principal at Chavez Elementary.

Prior to Little Elm ISD, Sevier was the Principal at Northbrook Elementary in Eagle-Mountain Saginaw ISD and has a combined 12 years of serving as a principal also in EMSISD and Irving ISD.

Under his leadership in Irving, he and his staff received the Points of Light Award in 2013 from the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence for improving student success. As a Director for Curriculum and Learning, Sevier will lead District curriculum coordinators for the ongoing development of existing curriculum.

Daniel Gallagher, superintendent of schools of Little Elm ISD, said “Doug is a great addition to Educational Services. He brings strong leadership and extensive knowledge and background in Curriculum and Learning. We are extremely excited to have him serve in his new role,” said Gallagher.

Sevier will serve under Educational Services and help support all campuses. “Mr. Sevier has been a dedicated and progressive leader during his time at Chavez Elementary and will be a great support for each teacher at every campus. His leadership will be an influence in every classroom,” said Dr. Ashley Glover, executive director for Educational Services.

Sevier will assume his new role as Director for the 2018-2019 school year.
