News out of Austin today by the TEA Commissioner Mike Morath, is that the state will delay the release of A-F district, school scores.
Only the top 5.5 percent of districts in the state, including Little Elm ISD, earned the honor this year.
The Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees approved the administration’s recommendation to hire Dr. Justin Barrett as the next Little Elm High School Principal. The board approved the hire at a special called meeting Tuesday evening.
Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Donnie Bartlett has been named Deputy Superintendent. Bartlett previously served as principal for an elementary campus at Birdville ISD.

Little Elm ISD is the most recent district in the country to earn the National Certificate for STEM Excellence - District (NCSE-D) STEM certificate from the National Institute for STEM Education (NISE). It is the first district in the state to have all campuses and the District STEM certified and third in the nation.
Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Christi Silcox has been named the Walker Middle School Principal. Silcox previously served as principal for West Hardin County Consolidated ISD, located 50 miles northwest of Beaumont, Texas.
At the special board meeting of the Little Elm ISD Board of Trustees on March 9, Little Elm ISD named Michael Lamb as the Lone Finalist in its search for the District’s next superintendent. With that announcement, the Board will now observe the state-required 21 day waiting period before officially approving Mr. Lamb.
