Dual Language

A Dual Language Immersion Two-Way Program where native Spanish speakers and native English speakers receive content and language instruction in English and Spanish. Currently, this program is offered at three of our elementary campuses: Brent Elementary (1st-5th), Hackberry Elementary (K-5), and Oak Point Elementary (K-5).

Dual Language students may continue in middle school by selecting Dual Language Reading in 6th-8th grades at Strike or Walker Middle School. 

PreK students participate in PreK Dual Language One-Way program by qualifying as an Emergent Bilingual student. PreK students receive 80% of instruction in Spanish and 20% of instruction in English.
