Hiring & Application Process

Before you begin the application process for Operations, Child Nutrition, Clerical, and Paraprofessional positions, make sure to have the following items on hand to complete the application. 

  • Employment History
  • Transcripts (if applicable)
  • Reference information

For Certified positions, in addition to the items above, a resume will also be required. 

Little Elm ISD requires all employees to be fingerprinted prior to being hired. 

Operations (Custodial and Maintenance)

Child Nutrition

Upon being hired you will need to register with SBEC for Educational Aide Certification. For more information, please refer to the State Board of Education at http://tea.texas.gov/

Certified Teachers
Before you submit an application, please make sure you have the following items to upload: cover letter, resume, employment history, transcripts, teaching certificate and reference information.

Non-Certified Teacher

  • Please submit an online application

  • Submit your resume, cover letter, teaching certificate, acceptance letter from Alternative Certification Program (if applicable) and transcripts

Offer of Employment

The selection process begins at the campus level or department level. The final candidate is the recommended to Human Resource Services for processing. If you are offered the position for which you have applied, you will receive a Background Check Authorization form through our TalentEd system. After you submit the form you will be notified if a fingerprint background check is needed or if you already have on completed. If you need to be fingerprinted a Fingerprint Fast Pass will be sent to you directly from Identogo/Morphotrust. Once you have your Fingerprint Fast Pass, you will need to follow the directions listed on the form to make your appointment. The fingerprinting fee will vary between $38.25 and $50.28, depending on whether you are a certified educator. You are responsible for payment of the fee at the time of fingerprinting. Once you have scheduled your appointment, please contact Human Resources. Employment documents will be sent through TalentEd once all credentials and background checks have been reviewed.

New-Hire Information

Once you have accepted a position with Little Elm ISD you will receive additional documents via TalentEd to complete prior to your new hire appointment. Please make sure to bring official transcripts (if applicable) and service records to the appointment. If you are unable to upload your driver’s license, social security card or voided check, bring those items with you to the appointment.
