Special Populations Services
The LEISD Special Education Services Department provides comprehensive, district-wide services that are designed to meet the unique range of needs for students ages 3-21. Each staff member is committed to the success and progressive learning experience of each student. The preparation of students for graduation and subsequent contributions to the community remains our primary goal as service providers.
- ENGAGE students in learning with the appropriate levels of academic, social, and behavioral support, in the least restrictive environment.
- EQUIP teachers, service providers, and staff with skills and training in order to support inclusive practices and provide specially designed instruction to meet individual students’ unique needs.
- EMPOWER collaborative partnerships with parents, families, and community stakeholders to promote the best possible outcomes for students through Section 504 and/or the ARD process.
