Students Logging in to Google Classroom
- Go to Classlink.
- Login using your @leisdstudent.ws email address and password. (If you are on a Chromebook, you may not need to login.)
- Click on the Google Classroom icon.
- Then you have 2 ways to join a class:
- Join a class with a class code—If your teacher gives you a class code, use this code to add yourself to the class. Your teacher might give you the code while you’re in class or email it to you.
- Accept an invitation from your teacher—If your teacher sends you an invitation, you’ll see "Join" on the class card on your Classroom homepage.
Additionally, students can use a personal smartphone or tablet to access Google Classroom.
Learn how to use Google Classroom:
Parent Access to Google Classroom
Parent insight into their student's activity in Google Classroom is managed by the classroom teacher. Please reach out to each of your student's teachers and ask if you can be added as a Parent / Guardian to their classes in Google Classroom.
As a guardian, you can receive email summaries showing your student’s progress in classroom. Parents can not login directly to Google Classroom to view student's work.
- You can choose the frequency of the emails, such as daily or weekly.
- You can unsubscribe or remove yourself from Classroom at any time.
Guardian email summaries include:
- Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
- Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
- Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

Please note that any activity in Google Classroom is documented under the student’s login and it would be inappropriate for a parent to communicate with the teacher or other students in Google Classroom. Parents should use their personal email to digitally communicate with the teacher.
