LEHS FBLA Students Advance to State After Strong Debut Competition

On Saturday, December 6, the Little Elm High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter competed in its first-ever competition at Timber Creek High School in Fort Worth. Despite being newcomers to the event, the students delivered an outstanding performance—11 out of 12 competitors placed fourth or higher, securing their advancement to the FBLA State Competition in Round Rock, March 1-3.

Students competed in a variety of business-focused events, showcasing skills in leadership, problem-solving, analysis, and communication. Their results are listed below:

• Alondra De La Torre, Sreenidhi Murugan, and Sahana Vasanth – 2nd Place

• Jacqueline Almonaci Diaz and Bryan Gonzalez-Espinoza – 3rd Place

Human Resource Management

• Emma Kuers – 4th Place
  Additionally, Emma earned the prestigious FBLA Who’s Who Award for her leadership and involvement in the organization.

International Business

• Sofia Fajner – 4th Place

Real Estate

• Kavin Sharma – 3rd Place

Computer Game & Simulation Programming

• Ayden Dimas – 3rd Place

Social Media Strategies

• Monique (Sandra) Nguende Tonga – 2nd Place

The LEHS FBLA chapter has been working diligently to prepare for this inaugural competition, and the results reflect the students’ dedication and professionalism. Their achievements are a testament to their commitment to developing real-world business skills and representing Little Elm ISD with excellence.

“Coach Knox and I are very proud of our students,” said their LEHS business teacher, Lashanda Leflore. “This was their first competition, and they showed tremendous effort, teamwork, and leadership. We are excited to see them continue their journey at the state level.”

The students will now advance to the FBLA State Competition in Round Rock, where they will compete against peers from across Texas.

The Future Business Leaders of America is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organiziation in the world helping more than 200,000 members in middle, high, and college prepare for careers in business.
