Little Elm ISD Announces New Leadership

Little Elm ISD is proud to announce the addition and advancement of three exceptional leaders who will continue to move our District forward with purpose and excellence. The Board of Trustees approved the administration's recommendation for employment at the School Board Meeting Monday, April 20.

We are excited to welcome Derrick Conley as our new director for Career and Technical Education and Virtual Learning. A seasoned superintendent and instructional leader, Conley brings a proven track record of elevating student achievement, strengthening campus culture, and building high-performing teams. His leadership has consistently driven academic growth, expanded opportunities for students, and fostered strong community partnerships.

Additionally, we are proud to promote two outstanding leaders from within our organization:

Marnie Richardson has been named principal of Ashley B. Glover Elementary. Currently serving as an assistant principal, Richardson brings a deep commitment to instructional leadership, student achievement and a collaborative school culture. Her experience across Little Elm ISD reflects a passion for growing both students and staff. Richardson began working in Little Elm in 2007 as a sixth grade math teacher, when Brent Elementary served as an intermediate school.

Matt Harbin has been named athletic director, transitioning from his role as assistant athletic director and head baseball coach. Harbin has built programs centered on excellence, discipline and character, and is widely respected for his commitment to student success both on and off the field. He was hired in 2016 as head baseball coach and was promoted to assistant athletic director in 2025.

Superintendent Michael Lamb said, “These leaders represent the very best of Little Elm ISD. Each brings a unique set of strengths, a relentless focus on students, and a proven ability to lead with integrity and vision. I am confident they will continue to build on the momentum in our District and make a lasting impact on our schools and community.”
