Walker Middle School Principal Named

Little Elm ISD is pleased to announce Christi Silcox has been named the Walker Middle School Principal. Silcox previously served as principal for West Hardin County Consolidated ISD, located 50 miles northwest of Beaumont, Texas.
For the last two years, Silcox has been a principal to more than 300 secondary students from 7th to 12th grades and a middle school assistant principal for three years at Hardin-Jefferson ISD to 580 students. Before becoming an administrator, Silcox taught English at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has served in public education for 27 years and has extensive experience with school improvement, instructional coaching, development of extensive Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for intensive data focus and date-driven instruction, and experience of improving school discipline.
Silcox was named the Region 5 Assistant Principal of the Year in 2019. She is a student-centered and a supportive teacher and instructional leader. “I believe in public education, and I believe in making school a safe, comfortable, environment for all. I am thrilled to be the Walker Middle School principal and be a part of this awesome famiLE,” said Silcox.
“When I met with Ms. Silcox, she impressed me with her enthusiasm to build a positive culture and relationships with students and teachers. She is a strong instructional leader who will be an asset to Walker Middle School,” said Mike Lamb, superintendent.

The first day of Kindergarten brought a mix of excitement and nervousness for Jessica Sublet and her son, Baylen. Originally from Montreal, Canada, and fluent in French, Jessica hoped Baylen would also learn to speak two languages. She was thrilled when she discovered Little Elm ISD offers bilingual education.
